CAD Designer Fabricator

Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled CAD Designer to join our dynamic fabrication team. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating detailed designs and fabrications for various construction and engineering projects as well as working with the team on fabrication of products. This role offers an excellent opportunity to utilise advanced CAD software and contribute to innovative HDPE fabrication solutions within a collaborative working environment. The ideal applicant will possess strong technical skills, attention to detail, and a passion for precision design.

Duties

• Develop detailed 2D and 3D models using CAD software such as AutoCAD, Revit, MicroStation, SolidWorks, SketchUp, NavisWorks, and Civil 3D.


• Create schematics and technical drawings to specifications provided by project managers and engineers.


• Collaborate with project teams to interpret design requirements and translate them into accurate fabrication plans.


• Assist in the realisation of designs through fabrication processes, ensuring adherence to industry standards and safety regulations.


• Review and modify existing drawings based on feedback or project updates.


• Prepare detailed documentation for manufacturing and construction purposes.


• Ensure all designs are optimised for efficient fabrication while maintaining quality standards.


• Contribute to the cost effective pricing of products.

• Proven experience in CAD design and fabrication within the construction or engineering sectors.


• Proficiency in CAD software including AutoCAD, Revit, Civil 3D, MicroStation, SolidWorks, Schematics, SketchUp, NavisWorks.


• Strong understanding of construction processes and fabrication techniques.


• Ability to interpret technical drawings and schematics accurately.


• Experience working on a range of projects requiring precise detail and adherence to specifications.


• Knowledge of industry standards related to civil engineering, structural design, or architectural fabrication is desirable.


• Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
