<p>Securing Supply. Sourcing Solutions —<strong> Join Velocity Electronics as our next BUYER in Amsterdam, Netherlands</strong></p>
<p>We are looking for a driven Buyer to oversee and expand Velocity’s supplier network while partnering closely with our sales team to ensure full fulfillment of customer component requirements. This role is responsible for strategic sourcing, supplier negotiations, and procurement activities to secure competitive pricing, quality products, and on-time delivery.</p>

<p><strong>What can you expect to do?</strong></p>
<ul>
<li><strong>Procurement &amp; Order Management:</strong> Manage the purchasing process and oversee the expediting of materials from all suppliers to ensure timely delivery and supply continuity.</li>
<li><strong>Vendor Management &amp; Development:</strong> Maintain strong supplier relationships while identifying, evaluating, and onboarding new vendors to support business growth.</li>
<li><strong>Sales Support &amp; Sourcing Execution</strong>: Support the sales team by conducting vendor evaluations, sourcing components, reviewing datasheets, providing technical assistance, supporting BOM requirements, negotiating pricing, and expediting orders.</li>
<li><strong>Supplier Relationship Building:</strong> Continuously develop and strengthen vendor partnerships to improve service levels, pricing, and reliability.</li>
<li><strong>Purchase Order Administration:</strong> Create, update, and manage purchase orders and VRMAs accurately within company systems.</li>
<li><strong>Performance &amp; Goal Achievement</strong>: Consistently meet or exceed performance goals established by management.</li>
<li><strong>Reporting &amp; Documentation:</strong> Prepare and provide procurement and vendor performance reports as requested.</li>
<li><strong>Inbound Order Expediting:</strong> Proactively track and expedite inbound shipments to prevent delays and ensure on-time fulfillment.</li>
<li><strong>Accounting Coordination:</strong> Collaborate with the accounting team to verify payment terms, credit arrangements, and financial documentation with suppliers.</li>
</ul>

<p><strong>What is the experience and knowledge needed to be successful in this role?</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>4-year college degree.</li>
<li>2+ years purchasing/industry experience</li>
<li>Knowledge of complex enterprise platforms including ERP such as SAP and Commodity</li>
</ul>
