Buyer Exotic Fruit

Are you a buyer who wants more than simply purchasing products? Do you want to influence strategy, improve processes and help shape the future of a growing procurement department? We are looking for an ambitious Buyer Exotic Fruit who is ready to make a real impact.

In this role, you will be responsible for the international sourcing and purchasing of exotic fruit, including products such as limes, mangoes, avocados and other overseas fruit. You will manage relationships with growers and suppliers, monitor international markets and identify new sourcing opportunities. At the same time, you will play an important role in building and strengthening a procurement department that is being prepared for significant future growth.

This position offers the opportunity to contribute both strategically and operationally. You will be involved in supplier selection, pricing, availability, quality and long\-term sourcing programmes, while leaving your mark on the organisation.

What are we looking for?

• Bachelor's level working and thinking ability


• Purchasing experience within exotic fruit or at least in the fresh produce


• Knowledge of products such as limes, mangoes, avocados or other overseas fruit is a strong advantage


• Experience working with international growers and suppliers


• A proactive and entrepreneurial mindset with strong commercial awareness


• Excellent command of English; Dutch, German, Spanish and additional languages are considered a strong advantage

• A key position within an organisation preparing for substantial growth


• Responsibility for an international exotic fruit portfolio

We are an internationally operating fresh produce company, working with growers, suppliers and customers across Europe and beyond. The company sources exotic fruit from different production regions around the world and supplies customers throughout the European market. The coming years will be focused on expansion, professionalisation and strengthening our position within exotic fruit.
