In this key role, you will be responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and purchasing goods and services that meet our company's quality standards and operational needs. Your expertise will ensure timely deliveries, optimal inventory levels on sites, and cost\-effective procurement processes. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work and collaborate across departments to support our business growth and ensure customer satisfaction.

Duties

• Develop and execute purchasing strategies aligned with company goals.


• Negotiate prices, terms, and contracts with suppliers to secure the best value while maintaining strong supplier relationships.


• Manage purchase orders within ERP systems, ensuring accuracy and timely processing for all procurement activities.


• Coordinate logistics and supply chain activities to optimise inventory levels on sites, reduce lead times, and improve delivery performance.


• Conduct market research to identify new suppliers, evaluate vendor performance, and stay informed about industry trends in purchasing and logistics.


• Collaborate with internal teams, operational, commericla and finance to forecast needs and streamline procurement workflows.


• Monitor supplier performance metrics and resolve any issues related to quality, delivery delays, or contractual discrepancies.

Experience

• Proven experience as a Buyer in a Construction procurement role within a fast\-paced environment.


• Strong proficiency in ERP systems.


• Demonstrated negotiation skills with the ability to secure favorable terms while fostering positive supplier relationships.


• Knowledge of supply chain management principles including logistics, inventory control, and vendor management.


• Familiarity with purchasing strategies and how they influence purchasing decisions.


• Excellent communication skills combined with analytical thinking to make data\-driven purchasing decisions.
