Job Title: Buyer
Location: Hillend. We offer a range of hybrid and flexible working arrangements – please speak to your recruiter about the options for this particular role
Salary: Up to £34,000 Dependent on skills and experience
What you’ll be doing:
- Manage the buy of electronic components through the life of the contract and in accordance with company policies and procedures
- Liaise closely with the local procurement team and other internal functions
- Align work to pre\-determined metrics and achieve schedule adherence
- Manage allocated suppliers on performance, cost, quality, schedule and risk
- Support and deliver supply chain and continuous improvement strategies
- Be an advocate for the Procurement Function
- Proficient electronic component buying experience
- SAP experience
- Supplier management experience
- Experience in the defence industry (preferred but not essential)

Supply Chain Function – Manufacturing Hillend:
Team of 9 people, focussed on day to day support on providing sourcing activity – covering both external and internal programmes, all end products \& military applications within the defence industry. Hillend is a world class manufacturing capability.
