Location: EHSL Office, Winnersh
Hours: 16 Hours per Week (4 hours per day, Mon to Thurs)
Salary: £11,307 per annum (£26,500 FT equivalent)
Responsible To: Business Support Manager
Role Purpose
EHSL is seeking an organised and proactive Business Support Assistant to provide administrative support across the organisation. This role will support the day\-to\-day running of the office, assist with administration and record keeping, coordinate meetings and events, and provide general support to colleagues across multiple departments.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop their administrative skills within a growing charity and supported housing organisation. Full training will be provided.
Key Responsibilities
Administration and Business Support
- Provide administrative support to the charity.
- Respond to enquiries in person, by telephone, and via email in a professional and timely manner.
- Maintain accurate records, databases, and filing systems.
- Support data entry, document management, and general administrative tasks.
- Draft, format, proofread, and distribute documents, letters, reports, and presentations.
- Maintain company templates and ensure documents are stored correctly.
- Arrange meetings, manage room bookings, and coordinate diaries where required.
- Prepare meeting papers and supporting documentation.
- Take meeting minutes and circulate actions and notes.
- Assist with organising staff meetings, events, and internal communications.
- Order office supplies and maintain stock levels.
- Place orders for maintenance\-related materials and services when required.
- Support the day\-to\-day running of the office and ensure all facilities are well presented and ready for use.
- Welcome visitors, contractors, and stakeholders to the office.
- Assist with preparing new starter documentation and onboarding packs.
- Support recruitment administration, including arranging interviews and maintaining recruitment records.
- Maintain staff records, training records, and other compliance documentation.
- Support the administration of DBS records and mandatory training information.
- Provide excellent customer service and support to colleagues and external contacts.
- Maintain confidentiality and handle information responsibly.
- Support organisational projects and business improvement activities where required.
- Undertake any other reasonable duties appropriate to the role.

- GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Mathematics.
- Basic IT proficiency, including Microsoft Office applications.
- Previous administrative, office, or customer service experience.
- Experience using Microsoft Teams and SharePoint.
- Experience maintaining records and filing systems.
- Experience supporting meetings, events, or office administration.
- Experience within a charity, housing, care, or supported housing environment.
- Willingness to undertake further professional development and training, including HR\-related qualifications where appropriate.
- Full training will be provided.
- The role is office\-based in Winnersh.
- The postholder will be expected to work in accordance with EHSL’s policies, procedures, values, and standards at all times.
- Duties may be amended from time to time to meet the changing needs of the organisation.
