Business Sales Executive
Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and results\-driven Business Sales Executive to increase sales, attract new customers, and develop business opportunities for our off\-licence store. The successful candidate will build relationships with local businesses, promote products and services, identify growth opportunities, and help drive revenue while ensuring excellent customer service.
Key ResponsibilitiesSales \& Business Development
- Identify and develop new business opportunities within the local area.
- Increase sales of beverages, convenience products, tobacco alternatives, snacks, and other store offerings.
- Build relationships with local businesses, offices, restaurants, takeaways, and community groups.
- Promote special offers, seasonal promotions, and new product launches.
- Generate and follow up on sales leads to grow the customer base.
- Deliver excellent customer service and maintain strong customer relationships.
- Resolve customer enquiries and complaints professionally.
- Encourage customer loyalty and repeat business through effective engagement.
- Gather customer feedback and provide recommendations to improve sales and service.
- Assist in planning and implementing local marketing campaigns.
- Promote the store through social media and community events.
- Support the development of loyalty schemes and customer retention initiatives.
- Create partnerships with local businesses to increase store visibility.
- Monitor sales performance and report on business development activities.
- Analyse customer purchasing trends and identify opportunities for growth.
- Track competitor activity and market developments.
- Help develop strategies to improve profitability and customer acquisition.
- Work closely with the Store Manager to achieve sales targets.
- Ensure promotional displays are attractive and fully stocked.
- Assist with inventory planning by identifying high\-demand products.
- Support general store operations when required.
- Previous experience in retail sales, business development, or customer service.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills.
- Ability to build and maintain customer relationships.
- Self\-motivated with a proactive approach to achieving targets.
- Good organisational and time\-management skills.
- Knowledge of the convenience retail or off\-licence sector is desirable.
- Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
- Achievement of monthly and annual sales targets.
- Number of new business accounts and customers acquired.
