My client is looking for a Business Operations Technician to join their growing team supporting London Market operations. This opportunity would suit someone with around 18-24 months' insurance or London Market experience who is looking to build on their technical knowledge within a supportive and collaborative environment.
Working closely with broking, operations and accounts teams, you'll gain exposure to a variety of market processes and systems while developing your understanding of premium processing, documentation and Lloyd's market procedures.Key Responsibilities • Review slips, endorsements and supporting documentation to ensure information is complete and accurate prior to processing.
- Produce client debit and credit documentation and support the Client Market teams with day-to-day operational activities.
- Assist with the production of premium closings and related market documentation.
- Prepare and issue correspondence, including covering emails and Letters of Undertaking where required.
- Process premium transactions through internal broking systems and support market submissions.
- Produce LPANs and assist with submissions to Xchanging.
- Upload and maintain documentation within the A&S Repository.
- Investigate and respond to queries from underwriters, brokers and market processing teams.
- Support the Accounts team with premium-related queries and reconciliations.
- Assist with correction requests and general administration relating to market settlements.
- Contribute to process improvement initiatives and support ongoing technology projects.
- Attend internal and external training to further develop technical market knowledge.
- Good understanding of Lloyd's and London Market processes, or a strong desire to develop knowledge in this area.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to work accurately in a fast-paced environment.
- Confident user of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word and Outlook.
- Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Comfortable communicating with colleagues, brokers, underwriters and external stakeholders.
- Experience using Xchanging, A&S, PPL or other London Market systems would be beneficial but is not essential.
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn and develop within a technical operations role.
