Merge serves fintechs, investment platforms, marketplaces, and corporate treasury teams globally, helping them improve cross\-border payments, liquidity management, FX execution, and treasury operations.

About the role

Merge is looking for an Operations Lead to help build and scale the operational foundation of the company. This is not a traditional Operations Manager role — we’re looking for a true 0 1 operator who thrives in fast\-moving, high\-ownership environments.

You’ll work closely with the senior leadership to build scalable systems, and solve complex operational challenges across a regulated fintech infrastructure business.

Responsibilities:

• Building operational processes and controls within regulated fintech and digital assets environment.


• Translating regulatory and compliance requirements into scalable operational execution.


• Driving cross\-functional coordination across Product, Compliance, Finance, and Commercial teams to deliver on key operations\-related initiatives.


• Establishing internal operational tooling, governance, reporting, and workflows.


• Scaling operational infrastructure across onboarding, payments, settlement, reconciliation, reporting


• Supporting early operational hiring and team buildout.


• Owning day\-to\-day execution in a highly hands\-on environment.

• Experience building operations within fintech, payments, banking infrastructure, or regulated financial services domain.


• Strong understanding of payment operations, settlement flows, reconciliation, treasury operations, and financial controls.


• Exposure to fintech , and/or digital asset regulatory environments.


• Ability to operate both strategically and hands\-on in early\-stage environments.


• Strong commercial awareness and understanding of how operational infrastructure enables scale and revenue growth.


• Comfortable navigating ambiguity and building processes from scratch.


• High ownership and autonomy is essential.
