Business Development Manager – Nutraceutical Ingredients

Madrid (100% on\-site) \| European scope \| \~50% travel

We are a European distribution group specialized in branded health ingredients, for dietary supplements, functional foods, and health\-focused consumer products.

The role

Your key role in supporting the growth of our nutraceutical activities across Europe.

Your mission is to act as a strategic link between ingredient manufacturers and customers, helping translate scientific value into clear market positioning and long\-term business opportunities.

What we’re looking for

Education

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Nutrition, Food Science, Life Sciences, Biology, Biochemistry, Nutritionist / Dietitian, or a related field.

Experience

• Experience or strong interest in nutraceuticals, dietary supplements, functional foods, or health ingredients.


• 1–2 years of professional experience is desirable, ideally in ingredient distribution, product management, technical roles, or business development.


• Experience in value\-driven, science\-based roles with exposure to manufacturers and customers is a plus.

Languages

• Spanish: C1 and/or native


• English: C1 (mandatory)


• French: Advanced level (desirable)

Profile \& skills

• Strong scientific background with the ability to communicate complex concepts clearly.


• Comfortable speaking in public and presenting in English.


• Strategic mindset and long\-term business orientation.


• Curious, proactive, and relationship\-driven.


• Excellent communication and presentation skills.


• Comfortable working independently in a growing, entrepreneurial environment.

Location \& travel

• Approximately 50% travel, including customer visits, supplier meetings, and industry events across Europe.


• 100% on\-site position, based at our Madrid offices.


• Group\-level role with European scope.
