Business Development Manager
The Business Development Manager, based at Breda, is responsible for identifying, originating and developing new cold storage opportunities from concept through commercial commitment. The role combines strategic business development, consultative sales, financial modelling and cross\-functional project leadership to secure long\-term customer partnerships and drive investment decisions.
As a Business Development Manager, your key responsibilities will include:
Business Development \& Sales
Identify and develop greenfield cold storage opportunities in strategic markets across Europe.
Lead consultative sales discussions to understand customers' operational, commercial and strategic requirements.
Answer RFP by reaching out to other department to build the best offer
Negotiate commercial terms and support contract execution.
Maintain a robust sales pipeline and achieve annual business development targets.
Customer Relationship Management
Establish trusted advisor relationships with senior customer stakeholders.
Manage complex, multi\-year sales cycles involving multiple decision makers.
Translate customer requirements into integrated logistics solutions.
Ensure customer expectations remain aligned throughout the development process.
Creating compelling presentation to pitch towards potential clients.
Financial \& Commercial Analysis
Develop financial models supporting investment decisions \& evaluate project returns.
Perform profitability analyses, pricing scenarios and sensitivity analyses.
Monitor commercial risks throughout the sales process.
Internal Stakeholder Management
Support the development of new automated cold storage facilities from initial opportunity through investment approval.
Coordinate cross\-functional teams across:
\- Engineering
\- Operations
\- Finance
\- Legal
\- Project Management
\- Executive Leadership
Assist in defining warehouse concepts, capacity requirements and operating models.
Drive internal governance processes.
Ensure milestones are achieved within agreed timelines.
