Having invested heavily in our design capability, project management team, dedicated installation crews, training programmes and operational infrastructure, we're now looking for an ambitious Business Development Manager to help drive the next stage of our journey.

The Role
As Business Development Manager, you'll be responsible for identifying and securing new business opportunities while developing long\-term relationships with clients across exhibitions, events, retail and branded environments.
You'll work closely with our design, project management and production teams to create compelling solutions that deliver real value for our clients.
This is a consultative sales role focused on building relationships, understanding client objectives and helping brands achieve more through exceptional exhibition and experiential experiences.
What You'll Be Doing
- Identifying and pursuing new business opportunities
- Building relationships with marketing teams, brand managers and procurement professionals
- Generating leads through networking, referrals and industry activity
- Managing the sales process from initial enquiry through to project handover
- Preparing proposals, presentations and client pitches
- Working closely with our design team to develop winning concepts
- Attending exhibitions, industry events and client meetings
- Maintaining and developing a healthy sales pipeline
- Delivering against agreed sales and growth targets
- Acting as an ambassador for the Mercer brand
We're looking for someone who is commercially driven, proactive and enjoys building lasting client relationships.
Ideally you'll have:
- Experience in business development, sales or account management
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- A consultative approach to selling
- The ability to build trust and develop long\-term partnerships
- Experience within exhibitions, events, interiors, retail fit\-out, shopfitting, creative services or a related industry would be advantageous
- Excellent organisational and pipeline management skills
- A positive, ambitious and self\-motivated attitude
