Royal London Asset Management (RLAM) is seeking a Business Development Manager to join our London\-based sales team. This is a high\-impact, client\-facing role focused on driving growth across key accounts, contributing to a team responsible for driving significant revenue at RLAM.
You will play a pivotal role in building and strengthening relationships with major discretionary and intermediary clients across London, creating opportunities and converting them into tangible business outcomes.
This role is ideally suited to someone with a strong foundation in asset management sales and a clear ambition to grow within a leading, purpose\-driven organisation.
About the role
- Deliver new business growth by developing opportunities with both prospective clients and existing partner firms
- Maintain a strong and consistent level of sales activity, including client meetings, events, and ongoing engagement, to build a healthy pipeline
- Take ownership of a defined portfolio of clients, developing meaningful relationships and identifying opportunities for growth
- Progress a targeted number of IFA and Discretionary firms from prospect stage to active fund investors, as reflected in account plans
- Build a strong understanding of RLAM’s investment solutions and effectively position these with clients
About you
- Strong knowledge of OEIC and UCITS products.
- Strong understanding of the distribution landscape , business models, the industry and treads
- IMC qualified
- Understanding of the platform market and the broader advisory, network and partner clients needs. Strong level of experience at BDM level within asset management.
- Being a self\-starter, working with initiate and being responsible for driving and prioritizing your own work load
- Someone who has a strong desire to build their own business franchise within the RLAM Wholesale
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Ability to influence and explain investment products in a clear and concise way
- Being a strong team player. Sharing best practice, actively participate in team meetings with productive thoughts and being open to constructive criticism when necessary
