About the Role
As Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for the development and growth of new and existing business opportunities across a diverse range of markets, supporting Incap UK’s ambition to build on its strong foundations and drive sustainable growth.
This is a customer\-facing role requiring a proactive and strategic approach to sales, relationship management, and market development, with aerospace and defence remaining a desirable but not exclusive sector focus.
Main Responsibilities
- Develop and execute business development and sales strategies aligned to company growth objectives
- Identify and secure new customers across key sectors including defence, industrial, medical, energy, communications and emerging technologies
- Build, manage, and convert a robust pipeline of opportunities, including long and complex sales cycles
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders and decision\-makers
- Present, and negotiate commercial proposals, quotations, and agreements
- Ensure profitable growth through effective pricing, margin management, and commercial awareness
- Act as the primary commercial interface for new customers during onboarding and early production phases
- Work closely with Engineering, Operations, Quality, and Supply Chain teams to develop and deliver customer solutions
- Monitor market trends, customer requirements, and competitor activity to identify growth opportunities
- Support development of value propositions and service offerings aligned to market needs
- Represent Incap UK at customer meetings, industry events, and exhibitions
- Maintain accurate CRM data, sales forecasts, and pipeline reporting
- Drive continuous improvement in sales processes and customer engagement
- Ensure alignment with company quality standards (ISO9001 and AS9100 where applicable)
About You
Essential
- Proven experience in business development or sales within Electronics Manufacturing Services (EMS) or related industries
- Strong understanding of electronic manufacturing industry
- Demonstrated ability to generate new business and manage complex sales cycles
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
- Strong commercial awareness with focus on sustainable and profitable growth
- Ability to build relationships across all levels of an organisation
- Self\-motivated, results\-driven, and proactive in approach
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple opportunities simultaneously
- Experience working across multiple sectors such as defence, industrial, medical, energy or communications
- Strong understanding of PCBA, box build, and electronic manufacturing processes
- Familiarity with aerospace and defence standards such as AS9100
- Technical or engineering background (degree or equivalent experience)
- Experience with CRM systems and sales reporting tools
- Knowledge of global manufacturing or offshore supply models
Location: UK (flexible, with travel required) hybrid working with requirement to attend site dependant on business requirements
Hours: 39 hours per week
