Crownelle Ltd is a growing beauty, wellness, retail and training business based in Glasgow. We provide professional hair and beauty services, retail beauty products, wigs and hair extensions, and operate the Crownelle Beauty Academy, delivering professional beauty and hairstyling training programmes.

As part of our growth strategy, we are seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to support the expansion of our retail, training, e\-commerce and service operations.

Role Overview

The Business Development Manager will play a key role in driving the commercial growth of the business by identifying new revenue opportunities, strengthening supplier and customer relationships, supporting the growth of the Crownelle Beauty Academy and helping to expand the company’s online and offline presence.

This is a strategic and operational role requiring strong commercial awareness, stakeholder management skills and the ability to identify opportunities that contribute to long\-term business growth.

Key Responsibilities

Business Growth \& Commercial Development

  • Develop and implement business development strategies to support revenue growth across all areas of the business.

  • Identify and pursue new commercial opportunities, partnerships and growth initiatives.

  • Conduct market research to identify emerging industry trends, customer needs and competitor activity.

  • Support the expansion of Crownelle's service offerings, retail product range and training programmes.

  • Build relationships with key stakeholders, business partners and industry contacts.
Supplier \& Partnership Management
  • Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers, wholesalers and distributors.

  • Negotiate favourable commercial arrangements to improve purchasing efficiency and profitability.

  • Identify and onboard new suppliers to support business growth and product diversification.

  • Manage supplier performance and ensure continuity of supply.
E\-Commerce \& Retail Development
  • Support the growth and optimisation of Crownelle's e\-commerce platform.

  • Monitor online sales performance and customer purchasing behaviour.

  • Identify opportunities to increase online sales and improve customer experience.

  • Work with internal teams to coordinate promotions, product launches and online campaigns.

  • Support inventory planning and product expansion initiatives.
Beauty Academy Development
  • Support the continued growth of the Crownelle Beauty Academy.

  • Develop relationships with prospective students, training partners and industry organisations.

  • Identify opportunities to increase student enrolment and programme participation.

  • Assist in developing new training programmes and educational partnerships.

  • Monitor academy performance and recommend improvements.
Marketing \& Customer Growth
  • Coordinate business development campaigns aimed at increasing customer acquisition and retention.

  • Support promotional activities, partnerships and community engagement initiatives.

  • Analyse customer feedback and market trends to improve service delivery.

  • Work closely with management to strengthen brand awareness and market positioning.
Performance Monitoring \& Reporting
  • Monitor sales performance across salon services, retail sales, training programmes and e\-commerce activities.

  • Prepare business performance reports and recommendations for management.

  • Track key performance indicators and identify opportunities for operational improvement.

  • Support business planning, forecasting and strategic decision\-making.
Operational Support
  • Assist with the implementation of business systems, processes and operational improvements.

  • Support workforce planning and recruitment activities as the business expands.

  • Work collaboratively with directors to ensure business objectives are achieved.

  • Undertake additional business development activities as reasonably required.
Essential Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional qualification.

  • Minimum 3 years' experience in business development, commercial management, project coordination, operations management or a similar role.

  • Proven ability to develop and maintain professional relationships with customers, suppliers and stakeholders.

  • Strong communication, negotiation and presentation skills.

  • Experience analysing business performance and identifying growth opportunities.

  • Strong organisational and problem\-solving abilities.

  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.

  • Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and business reporting tools.
Desirable Requirements
  • Experience within the beauty, retail, training, education, wellness or e\-commerce sectors.

  • Experience supporting business expansion projects.

  • Experience working with CRM, e\-commerce or inventory management systems.

  • Understanding of digital marketing and customer acquisition strategies.

  • Experience developing commercial partnerships and supplier relationships.
