Business Development Manager (Fire Systems)

CTEC is a leading British independent manufacturer of quality life safety equipment with a portfolio of products that include commercial conventional and addressable fire alarm panels and accessories, domestic residential fire alarm systems, IOT software solutions, power supplies, disabled refuge and fire telephones, evacuation alert systems, nursecall systems and accessibility products. Compliance and certification being a key component of the company’s success.
The Role
The primary objective of this role is to drive and influence specification of C\-TEC System Solutions in the South of the UK (Oxford and below) The success of the candidate will be measured by the overall turnover and profitability of our main focus C\-TEC System Solutions.
The Person
To be successful in this role, you will:
- Have detailed knowledge of relevant EN54 standards
- Have detailed knowledge and be able to advise on relevant British Standards, BS5839\-1, BS5839\-6, BS5839\-8, BS8629, BS7273\-4, BS8300, Approved Document B, the equalities act and facilities for the disabled.
- Have the ability to prioritise workload and work well under pressure, to meet deadlines and manage business expectations.
- Be able to demonstrate proven, well established relationships with, specifiers and consultants, fire surveyors, developers, Builders, Councils, Housing Associations, Social Housing Providers.
- Have experience of and familiarity with RIBA stages.
- Have extensive experience of working in the fire industry.
- Proven experience in delivering high value, integrated fire solutions.
- A basic awareness of health \& safety regulations.
- Driving licence
