Role Overview

As a Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for identifying, developing, and securing new business opportunities to drive revenue growth and expand the company's market presence. You will build strategic partnerships, manage a robust pipeline of prospects, and work closely with internal stakeholders to deliver compelling proposals.

Key Responsibilities:

· Proactively identify, research and target new business opportunities across key market segments

· Build and manage a healthy pipeline of qualified leads through outbound prospecting, networking, referrals, and marketing\-generated leads

· Attend industry events, conferences, and trade shows to represent the business and generate new contacts

· Develop and deliver persuasive presentations and proposals tailored to prospective client needs

· Lead commercial negotiations and contract discussions, working with the legal and operations teams to close deals

· Develop strong, long\-term relationships with key decision\-makers and C\-suite stakeholders

· Collaborate with the marketing team to align on go\-to\-market strategies and campaign activity

· Cross\-sell and upsell the company's full portfolio of services to maximise revenue per client

· Maintain accurate and up\-to\-date records of all sales activity within the CRM system

· Conduct regular competitor and market analysis to identify new trends and opportunities

· Provide weekly pipeline reports and revenue forecasts to the Chief Commercial Officer.

· Work collaboratively with the wider sales team to share best practices and support team targets

Requirements
  • Proven experience in a Business Development, New Business Sales, or a similar commercially focused role (3\+ years preferred)

  • Demonstrated track record of meeting and exceeding revenue and new business targets

  • Strong ability to manage the full sales cycle from prospecting through to close

  • Excellent presentation, communication, and negotiation skills at all levels, including C\-suite

  • Experience using a CRM system (Salesforce, HubSpot, or similar); ability to maintain pipeline discipline and data accuracy

  • Sound understanding of the market landscape and competitive environment relevant to the business

  • Strategic thinker with the ability to identify trends and translate them into business opportunities

  • Self\-motivated, resilient, and target\-driven with a hunter mentality

  • Strong time management and prioritisation skills; ability to manage multiple opportunities simultaneously

  • A genuine passion for business development and a desire to grow within a dynamic, fast\-paced team environment
