About the role:
We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Business Development Manager to fuel profitable growth by exploring innovative business opportunities, empowering long\-term customer success, and delivering standout service that amplifies Lynas Foodservice’s market impact.
Key Responsibilities:
Business Development (Primary): Identify and secure new customers within the foodservice sector to achieve growth targets. Conduct market research and competitor analysis to uncover opportunities. Develop and execute business development strategies to achieve sales and revenue targets. Ensure customer satisfaction and long\-term account retention
Account Management: Maintain and strengthen relationships with existing customers through regular visits, menu planning support, and tailored solutions to meet customer needs. Monitor account performance, resolve issues, and ensure high customer satisfaction Coordinate with internal teams to ensure timely delivery and service excellence
Sales Performance: Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales, margin, and customer retention targets. Use systems effectively to manage pipeline and forecast accurately.
Customer Service Excellence: Deliver a professional and consultative service that aligns with Lynas Foodservice’s customer\-first values. Resolve issues promptly and ensure satisfaction.
Collaboration \& Communication: Work closely with internal departments (Category, Credit, Logistics, Marketing) to ensure customer requirements are met and business objectives achieved.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bsc Business Management / Sales Management or equivalent
- Experience: 5\-8 years Proven track record in business development, ideally within foodservice, FMCG, or hospitality.
- Strong commercial knowledge with the ability to analyse performance data and identify growth opportunities.
- Full driving license and willingness to travel within assigned region.
- Excellence in new business relationship creation.
- Heightened regional networking skills.
- Strong Excel/data management skills.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship\-building skills.
- Self\-motivated, results\-driven, and customer\-focused.
- Good interpersonal skills; able to communicate effectively with Sales, Trading, and Finance teams.
- Keen and willing to learn, with the ability to adapt to changing priorities.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Problem Solving: Uses initiative and judgement to resolve challenges quickly and effectively.
