What we are looking for in a Site Development Manager
There's a role for everyone in retail \- including leadership. As a Site Development Manager, you'll motivate your Section Managers to deliver the best standards across your store,forecourt, maximizing availability and driving sales. You'll have an eye for detail, maintaining shop floor standards and coaching your team to do the same. You'll be responsible for ensuring that merchandising and operational standards are met, and that back of house areas run safely and smoothly. As part of the leadership team, you'll work a three\-week rolling rota which will include weekends, evenings and sometimes late nights. At times, you may be solely responsible for the store, and therefore you'll need to be confident in overseeing operation as a whole.
What you are responsible for
As a site Development Manager, you will be responsible for leading the team and all aspects of the fresh food, hot food , and the forecourt operations.
- Making sure that safety of yourself, your team, and the customer, in line with Mfg \- policies and procedures, is your top priority
- Ensure legal and safety compliance through all of the store’s operations e.g., food safety, underage sales, forecourt operations
- Working with the team to deliver great customer service at every level through getting the basics right and listening to our customers and driving continuous improvement
- As an Site Development Manager, it will be your responsibility to support with the team’s management, including engagement of the store team, development, training, recruitment, and other people related tasks
- Management of staff on site with support from Team Leaders and Assistant Manager
- To ensure the smooth day to day running of the store by arranging an efficient rota, along with daily tasks being carried out to a high standard
- Following KPI’s creating reports to ensure budgets relating to wage costs, wastage and sales targets are met
- To monitor stock levels and order stock accordingly to optimise inventory control
- Prioritising Health and Safety procedures and policies in relation to Staff, forecourt and shop
- Proven management experience in retail industry
- Experience in a senior management role
- Capability to positively impact and record sales, staff costs and wastage
- Able to demonstrate the ability to identify problems on site and create quick and effective solutions
- Able to bring positive attitude and strong leadership skills to an established working environment
- Ability to work under pressure
Job Types: Full\-time, Contract 37\.5hrs a week , Permanent
Salary: From £38,000\.00 per year
