Business Development Manager (BDM)
Bramble CFD provide a cloud platform for engineers and non\-specialists to create and analyse high\-end Computational Fluid Dynamics simulations. Our users include leading names in the worlds of automotive, motorsport and sports science.
Bramble CFD was spun out of its parent company, TotalSim, in 2022\. Through TotalSim, our roots go all the way back to the late 90s. We are currently a multidisciplinary team of engineers, developers and business operations staff, growing to support our customer base.
The Role
A new position of Business Development Manager is being created by Bramble CFD to spearhead our ongoing acquisition process in UK. The BDM will be responsible for managing Bramble’s named account list comprising the most important motorsport teams, automotive OEMs and suppliers, and sports science organisations in our target markets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Managing and expanding Bramble’s list of named accounts
- Creating and nurturing relationships with senior executives of strategic enterprise accounts
- Conducting sophisticated sales processes from identification through to closing
- Working with our Applications Engineer on technical discovery, trials, and proofs\-of\-concept
- Creating strategic partnerships with other software companies and channel partners
- Acting as a representative of Bramble at key industry events
- Reporting on pipeline forecasts and account details to the Managing Director
- Supporting commercial strategy development and the development of a junior commercial team
The package is £50k–£55k base salary plus commission on new business, giving on\-target earnings of £70k–£75k depending on experience. Additional benefits include 25 days annual leave plus Bank Holidays and a company pension scheme.
Skills \& Experience:
The ideal candidate will have the following:
- 5\+ years' B2B sales experience in technical/engineering software (CAE, CAD, simulation, or similar products)
- Proven ability to close five or six figure sales
- An existing network within motorsport, automotive, or sports science engineering communities
- Tolerance for extended sales cycles involving many decision\-makers
- Highly technical understanding that can sell convincingly to engineering managers and work well with our Applications Engineer
- Willingness to travel within the UK and Europe
- The right to work in the UK
- Experience selling Computational Fluid Dynamics, simulation, or similar engineering software
- Existing relationships within F1, motorsport, automotive OEM/Tier 1, or sports science organizations
- Experience creating channels/partnerships
- Mentorship or team leader experience
