Business Development & M&A Manager

What functions will you perform?

ID Energy Group is looking for a Business Development \& M\&A Manager to join its growing Italian Team and play a key role in expanding renewable energy portfolio in Italy.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who combines a commercial mindset with strong analytical and deal\-making skills.You will join a small local team based in Rome, while working closely with our colleagues in Hungary and Spain, reporting to the Head of Business Development Hungary, SEE \& Italy.

Your main responsibilities will include:

• Building and maintaining relationships with developers, investors, advisors and other key market participants.


• Screening and evaluating renewable energy projects from commercial, financial and strategic perspectives.


• Local management of the M\&A processes in Italy, from initial opportunity/partner identification and valuation through due diligence, negotiation and closing.


• Coordinating technical, legal, financial and commercial due diligence processes with internal teams.


• Manage the commercial negotiations with project developers, partners and other counterparties.


• Monitoring the Italian renewable energy market, including regulatory developments, market trends and competitive dynamics.


• Collaborating closely with our Hungarian and Spanish teams, sharing market insights, expertise and best practices across the organization.


• Representing the company in meetings with external stakeholders and contributing to the development of our position and network in the Italian market.


• Active involvement in other business initiatives, projects and ad\-hoc tasks supporting the company’s growth and development in Italy.

Your profile

Ideally, you have:

• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in M\&A, business development in renewable energy sector in similar role.


• Good understanding of the Italian renewable energy project development landscape.


• Proven experience in evaluating investment opportunities, business cases and renewable energy projects.


• Experience with M\&A transactions, project acquisitions, partnerships or similar strategic transactions.


• Strong analytical skills, experience with financial modelling and project valuation is a strong advantage.


• Excellent negotiation, communication and stakeholder management skills.


• A strong network within the Italian renewable energy market is a plus.


• Fluency in Italian and English.


• A relevant university degree in Finance/Economics/Business/Engineering or a related field.
