Business Development Executive
About the role
StorageBox provides portable storage and fixed self\-storage solutions for households, businesses and students. We’re looking for a proactive Business Development Executive to convert customer enquiries, win new business and help develop our marketing activity.
With around 100 enquiries coming into HubSpot each month, you’ll have an established pipeline to work with, alongside opportunities to generate new leads and build referral relationships.
Reporting directly to the Managing Director, you’ll manage the sales process from initial enquiry through to booking, with training and support from our office team.
Key responsibilities
- Respond to telephone and email enquiries, understand customer needs and recommend suitable storage solutions.
- Prepare quotations, follow up consistently and secure bookings and initial payments.
- Keep HubSpot records accurate, with clear next steps for each opportunity.
- Proactively approach potential business customers and build referral relationships with estate agents, removal companies, builders and other partners.
- Create and coordinate social media content, email campaigns, targeted postal campaigns and promotional material.
- Work with our external digital marketing partner to promote StorageBox services.
- Monitor conversions and sales results, suggesting ways to improve performance and grow revenue.
- Coordinate with the office and operations team to ensure a smooth handover for new customers.
You’re comfortable picking up the phone, building rapport and asking for the sale. You’re organised, follow up reliably and take initiative.
We welcome applicants from different industries, but you must be able to demonstrate your ability to sell. Strong communication, good computer skills and an interest in marketing are essential.
HubSpot and digital marketing experience would be an advantage. Storage industry experience is not required; training will be provided.
