The Role

As a Business Development Executive, you’ll make outbound B2B calls to decision makers and schedule qualified appointments for our Utilities Consultants. You’ll work from a proven script and process, while using your sales skills to build rapport quickly, handle objections professionally, and keep conversations authentic and engaging. You’ll manage your daily activity and pipeline using our systems, working towards clear targets and KPIs.

What We Offer

  • Starting base salary of £25,000–£30,000 (dependent on experience). Strong performers and candidates with proven sales results will be offered towards the higher end of the range.

  • Uncapped commission – top performers regularly earn £1,750\+ per month in addition to their basic wage!

  • Realistic OTE of £50,000\-£60,000

Who We’re Looking For

We’re looking for ambitious, self‑motivated people with a growth mindset who will thrive in a high‑performance environment. Previous sales experience is highly valued (especially phone‑based, lead generation, telesales or B2B), but it’s not essential—we also welcome applicants who are motivated to learn and want to build a long‑term career in sales.

If you’re experienced, you’ll ideally bring a track record of hitting targets, confidence with objection handling, and the ability to keep activity levels high while maintaining quality conversations. If you’re new to sales, we’ll look for evidence of resilience, coachability and strong communication skills.

Ideal background (helpful, but not required):

  • Telesales, cold calling, outbound calling or appointment setting

  • SDR/BDR, lead generation or business development (B2B or B2C)

  • Call centre/contact centre experience (sales or customer retention)

  • Customer\-facing roles where you’ve influenced outcomes (e.g., retail, hospitality, account management)

  • Recruitment, lettings, insurance, telecoms or other target\-driven environments
You will:
  • Be confident and professional on the phone, able to follow a script while keeping conversations natural and engaging

  • Be comfortable making a high volume of cold calls and staying motivated through repetition and pressure

  • Actively use feedback and training positively, with a genuine interest in developing your sales skills

  • Demonstrate strong listening and questioning skills, using initiative if the conversation moves beyond the script

  • Work confidently and quickly with CRM systems to manage your pipeline and follow‑ups effectively – you will already have strong keyboard skills with the ability to pick up new systems quickly

  • Bring energy, positivity and a competitive mindset to a fast\-paced, team\-focused environment

  • Be motivated to build a long\-term career in sales, whether experienced or new to the industry
