Business Development Executive
Bramble CFD provide a cloud platform for engineers and non\-specialists to create and analyse high\-end Computational Fluid Dynamics simulations. Our users include leading names in the worlds of automotive, motorsport and sports science.
Bramble CFD was spun out of its parent company, TotalSim, in 2022\. Through TotalSim, our roots go all the way back to the late 90s. We are currently a multidisciplinary team of engineers, developers and business operations staff, growing to support our customer base.
The Role
Bramble CFD are creating a new Business Development Executive role to drive our active customer acquisition. As we scale our customer base across motorsport, automotive and sports science, we are moving from a reactive, marketing\-led acquisition model to one led by proactive outreach and the BDE will be at the front line of that shift.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identifying and engaging prospective customers across our target industries
- Running proactive outreach through events, professional networks, phone, email and LinkedIn
- Representing Bramble CFD at industry events, conferences and trade shows
- Qualifying inbound leads and converting them to commercial opportunities
- Running discovery calls and coordinating technical demonstrations with our Applications Engineer
- Closing opportunities end\-to\-end, from initial contact through to signature
- Maintaining accurate pipeline and forecast information
The package is £30k–£35k base salary plus commission on new business, giving on\-target earnings of £40k–£50k depending on experience. Additional benefits include 25 days annual leave plus Bank Holidays and a company pension scheme.
Skills \& Experience:
We are looking for an individual with the following:
- 1–3 years of B2B sales experience, ideally in technical software, engineering services or an adjacent technical category
- A demonstrable track record of building pipeline through proactive outreach
- Confidence in cold outreach as well as relationship\-led and network\-led prospecting
- Genuine technical curiosity able to engage credibly with engineering audiences without being an engineer yourself
- Strong organisational skills and self\-motivation as much of the role is self\-directed.
- Willingness to travel across the UK and Europe for events and customer meetings
- Right to work in the UK
- Experience selling into motorsport, automotive or sports science
- Familiarity with CRM tools (HubSpot, Salesforce, Pipedrive or similar)
- An engineering or technical academic background
