Our client is a specialty finance and working capital platform led by US based commercial lending specialists, recently expanding into the UK to meet growing demand for flexible, client focused solutions. Originally founded in the United States, the company has successfully grown into the Continental European market. Its entry into the UK represents the third phase of its international expansion, building on its established presence in the US and Europe.

We are seeking a senior, highly networked Business Development Officer (BDO) to join the existing UK based sales team and originate and build a high-quality UK domestic and international book, targeting c. £15–20M+ in annual new commitments, with a focus on bespoke client-solutions oriented deals in the higher-yield segment (not a bank with loss-leaders).

Deals will mainly focus on lending solutions across Invoice Finance, Trade Finance and Supply Chain Solutions.

Ideal Candidate Profile

• Senior originator (10+ years) with deep UK SME/mid-market expertise


• Established introducer base across brokers, accountants, law firms, restructuring advisors, PE sponsors, introducers, and direct clients


• Proven track record originating receivables finance, invoice discounting/factoring, supply-chain finance, and structured working capital solutions


• Independent sourcing, qualification, and onboarding capability


• Relationship-driven, commercially sharp, results-oriented


• Team player comfortable with high autonomy + accountability in a fast-scaling operation and multicultural environment

• Shape and lead UK growth, including building a larger sales team below him/her and direct access to key decision-makers


• Competitive compensation: strong base salary + performance-based variable/bonus


• True flexibility: remote-first (London office available), multi-currency/jurisdiction deals, no concentration caps or balance-sheet constraints


• Tech-enabled origination: automate admin/underwriting support so you focus on deals; rapid credit turnaround


• Core business will be diversified/insurable books but also open to structured solutions on growing or transitional credits where risk-reward is justified


• Broader value-add: leverage deep networks across Europe and the US, where we offer client intros, growth capital, or M&A support beyond pure working capital solutions for select clients
