Business Development (BD) and Marketing Co-ordinator
Purcell is looking for a Business Development and Marketing Coordinator to join our Manchester studio. Working closely with our North Leadership team and the wider Work Winning team, the Business Development and Marketing Coordinator will identify opportunities to enable the continued growth, profile raising and success of the North region across multiple sectors as well as supporting our national Public and Places of Worship sector teams.
Reporting to Purcell's Head of Work Winning and working closely with Senior Leadership and Work Winning team colleagues across the practice, the Business Development and Marketing Coordinator is a key role, both regionally and nationally, with plenty of opportunity for development.
We're looking for a commercially sharp, results driven and tenacious Business Development and Marketing Coordinator with excellent relationship building skills, both internally and externally, to support in increasing our market presence and revenue in the region's target sectors.

The successful candidate would be based in our Manchester Studio but is expected to travel to Purcell's York studio on a regular basis to fulfil their role.

Job duties include the following:
- Work alongside the Regional Senior team to support and coordinate the development and delivery of the regional business development and marketing strategy.
- Proactively engage with the regional work winning team to encourage and support business development activities and initiatives alongside promoting the region's activities and project milestones in line with the region's business development and marketing strategy.
- Schedule and manage regular meetings with key regional team members to keep track of business development activities, leads and marketing opportunities
- Work closely with the Regional Leadership team to identify new business opportunities for the North region across core sectors.
- Support the Regional work winning teams to identify key targets, arrange and, where appropriate, attend external business development meetings to generate leads.
- Coordinate a strategic programme of P2Ps and coordinate attendance ensuring research is undertaken in advance, relevant collateral is prepared and intel disseminated as appropriate afterwards.
- Assist with the planning and support of targeted business development and marketing campaigns that feed into the regional strategy.
- Create a focused networking strategy around key industry events, including identifying speaking opportunities. Engage with the regional team to ensure regular attendees as well as arrange collateral as necessary and post\-event intel is shared and follow ups are actioned.
- Encourage regional business development activists to attend relevant networking events and other business development activities, building the knowledge and skills to successfully undertake work\-winning activities.
- Organise Purcell hosted events, such as networking events, roundtable events, panel events etc.
- Manage CRM for the Region, including generating and sharing the leads tracker and activity reports, sharing with other regions and teams as appropriate.
- Manage monthly regional business development meetings including preparing the agenda and taking minutes. These meetings focus on sector market intelligence, campaigns and leads.
- Support Public and Places of Worship sector leads on a national level, setting up and minute\-taking national sector meetings to enable shared intel and opportunities across the practice.
- Support Public and Places of Worship Sector Leads to maintain, develop and deliver sector strategies and collateral, working with colleagues across the practice as relevant.
- Pro\-actively champion regional project and people stories for publicity opportunities and social media campaigns, and feed through to the central Marketing \& Communications team.
- Create regional marketing collateral using brand templates; and work closely with central Marketing \& Communications team to develop practicewide sector collateral.
- Organise photography as needed for both projects and people across the north region and liaise with OpenAsset Coordinator to upload to central database with correct copyright information.
- Maintain a regional award planner, identifying relevant awards (local, regional, national and international) for regional projects; coordinate submissions working closely with Project Leads and the central Marketing \& Communications team.
- Support on thought leadership pieces to celebrate our projects and people.
- Write news pieces and press releases ensuring SEO is maximised, liaising with client teams as necessary.
- Create and promote social media content and support wider regional team members to post and promote existing content as appropriate.
- Create project comms plans including tracking milestones, working with client on communications, creating and developing content and copy, organising tours etc.
- Work with North leadership team to gather client feedback to ensure we continue to deliver high\-quality projects and build long\-term client relationships.
- Work closely with the wider Work Winning teams to ensure collateral and imagery is available for use in prospective client / collaborator presentations, marketing materials and bids.
- Work closely with wider Regional Business Development \& Marketing colleagues to share market intel and regional activities and campaigns.
- Work closely with the Bid team to share information on leads ahead of bid opportunities.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written with previous published writing or editorial experience desirable.
- Highly organised and proactive with strong time management skills and ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
- Keen attention to detail with eye for layout, formatting, and brand consistency.
- Ability to work proactively on own initiative and multitasking and prioritising a diverse workload.
- Professional, discreet and confident working with senior leadership and external stakeholders.
- Collaborative and confident working with multiple stakeholders at all levels.
- Knowledge of the architecture / construction industry.
- Understanding of public sector including procurement processes.
- Experience in marketing and business development.
- Experience with social media and CRM management.
- Experience using Adobe InDesign and Microsoft Office.
- Enthusiasm for developing skills and knowledge.
