About the Role
To be eligible for this WPEP placement, you must be in receipt of a qualifying payment from the Department of Social Protection (DSP) and have been unemployed for the required period. Generally, this is a minimum of 4 months for individuals under 25 years of age and 6 months for individuals aged 30 and over. This Work Placement Experience Programme (WPEP) opportunity will provide the successful candidate with practical experience supporting the Business Development team.
The Business Development Assistant will assist with lead management, CRM administration, data entry, reporting, and general business development activities while gaining exposure to sales processes, customer engagement, and modern business technologies.
No previous experience is required, and full training will be provided.
Key Duties
The successful candidate will assist with:
- Updating and maintaining customer and prospect information within the CRM system (ConnectWise).
- Assisting with the tracking and management of inbound and outbound sales leads.
- Maintaining accurate records of business development activity.
- Assisting with lead generation and market research activities.
- Supporting the Business Development team with customer follow\-up activities.
- Preparing reports and updating spreadsheets and databases.
- Assisting with the use of Microsoft Copilot and other business tools to support administrative and sales activities.
- Supporting the scheduling of meetings and maintaining related documentation.
- Assisting with general administrative duties as required.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Good communication skills.
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn.
- Good organisational and administrative skills.
- Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to work as part of a team.
