VIS Systems are the UK’s leading site monitoring company, specialising in a range of integrated imaging technologies. As a Business Development Executive, you would be working from our offices in Bury, and remotely, liaising with new or existing customers in the construction sector offering a range of services they have or intend to procure, and you will have the opportunity to upsell further services.

We are seeking a motivated and commercially minded Business Development Executive to support company growth through relationship management. You will align outbound sales strategies with our latest marketing initiatives to target key accounts and drive the campaign to success. In addition to business development responsibilities, you will support the sales department by undertaking key commercial estimating duties.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the backbone of support for the sales team, handling administrative tasks and facilitating smooth operations.

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, providing support.

  • Assist in managing communication with clients and internal teams, ensuring the timely and accurate flow of information.

  • Coordinate and track sales activities, helping to meet deadlines and manage schedules effectively.

  • Updating and maintaining accurate customer records with new contact details and notes on client interactions, sales agreements, contracts and new account set ups.

  • Identify new opportunities with new clients using detailed sales opportunities provided by a market leading intelligence sales platform.

  • Collaborate with the sales team to prepare compelling presentations, proposals and accurate statistics.

  • Provide vital assistance in processing sales orders, monitoring their progress, and resolving any issues that may arise.

  • Keep up to date with industry trends.
· Prepare cost estimates, budgets, quotations, tenders, and commercial reports for construction projects.

· Review drawings and specifications to assess project costs, requirements, and commercial viability.

· Carry out cost analysis and value engineering to improve profitability and efficiency.

· Monitor project costs, valuations, variations, and final accounts to maintain budget control.

· Support contract administration and ensure compliance with contractual obligations.

· Maintain accurate commercial and contractual records and documentation.

To Succeed in this Role:

  • Ideally you will have worked in a Business Development Executive role before or an equivalent role

  • You will have industry knowledge in relation to Site Monitoring and Workforce Monitoring Solutions.

  • You’ll have a busy workload, so whilst you will need to work fast to meet deadlines, you will also need to ensure work is completed to a high level of accuracy and have a sharp eye for the little details.

  • As you’ll be the internal contact for a lot of our key sales accounts, you’ll have a pleasant and approachable manner, be a clear and confident communicator with a strong commitment to delivering on promises.

  • You’ll have tight deadlines to meet every day, so being able to manage your own time effectively and prioritise tasks is key.

  • You’ll be commercially aware, that means having the ability to think on your feet and deliver a profitable proposal to a customer that meets internal guidelines.
How you’ll demonstrate it
  • You’ll have a proven track record of commercial success. This could be in a Business Development, Sales Support, B2B Customer Service Support function (or similar) or even another role or experience that shows this.

  • Ideally, you’ll have experience supporting Sales teams and developing your own sales pipeline. You’ll be supporting some of our largest customers, so you’ll need to be confident and have a good level of understanding of their requirements.

  • Ideally, you’ll have a proven track record of accurately forecasting costs, and producing detailed cost plans, in the same or equivalent role.

  • Ideally, you’ll have experience navigating standard forms of contract, analysing tenders, negotiating commercial terms

Hours

Full Time

Monday \- Friday 0800\-1600 with a 30 minute paid lunch.

Part Time hours can be discussed upon request

Pay: £40,000\.00 per year
