Nice to meet you! I'm Milja Valentine, (https://www.linkedin.com/in/milja\-valentine/) a Senior Talent Partner at LeadDesk. Together with Antti Kerola (https://www.linkedin.com/in/antti\-kerola/), Director of Business Control \& Data, we're strengthening our Finance team.
We're now looking for a Business Controller to join us as a key local finance partner in an international business environment. In this role, you'll combine business understanding, analytics, and financial insight to support decision making and help develop smarter ways of working across finance and reporting. You'll work closely with both local and international stakeholders and get real ownership from day one in a company where finance, data, and technology are continuously evolving.

- Supporting the business with financial analysis, reporting, and KPI follow\-up
- Working with financial and operational data and turning it into clear business insights using tools such as Power BI and SQL
- Building and developing reporting and analytics that help stakeholders make more informed business decisions
- Participating in monthly closing and management reporting related to the Norwegian operations
- Acting as a finance contact towards the external accounting partner in Norway together with the wider Finance team
- Taking part in developing reporting, controlling, and finance processes across the organisation
- Analysing revenue development, costs, and operational performance to provide actionable insights for the business
- You've built strong working relationships with the stakeholders and teams you work with
- Your reporting, analysis, and KPIs help the business better understand performance and support decision making
- You've become a reliable finance contact for the local organisation and external accounting partner in Norway
- You're comfortable navigating financial and operational data and turning it into meaningful business insights
- You actively contribute to improving reporting, analytics, and finance ways of working
Must\-haves
- 1–3 years of experience in business controlling or similar analytical finance roles
- Relevant education (e.g. M.Sc. in Economics, Finance, Accounting, or equivalent)
- Understanding of monthly closing and financial reporting principles under Norwegian Accounting Standard (NRS)
- Good skills in Excel, Power BI, and working with data
- Exposure to SQL or similar data and reporting tools, with willingness to further develop your technical skills
- Analytical mindset and ability to turn data into clear business insights
- Hands on and proactive way of working with strong attention to detail
- Comfortable working in a dynamic environment where processes and ways of working continue to evolve
- Strong communication and collaboration skills across different teams and stakeholders
- Fluent in Norwegian and English, both written and spoken
- Experience working in an international company or group environment
- Understanding of IFRS reporting principles
- Interest in modern AI tools and how they can improve finance workflows and productivity
- Previous experience collaborating with business functions such as Sales, Product Management, or Engineering
- Location: LeadDesk Oslo office (hybrid work model 3 days a week at the office)
- Start date: Ideally August 2026 (the sooner the better!)
- Employment type: Full\-time and permanent.
- Salary: NOK 55 000\-65 000/month
- Annual bonus plan with a target bonus equivalent to 2 monthly salaries
