About the Role
You will help shape the business architecture for a global manufacturing environment where Shopfloor IT is key to connecting people, processes, equipment, and data. The focus is on creating efficient, transparent, and data-driven ways of working supported by modern IT solutions that enable real-time decision-making in production.
In this role, you take a strategic end-to-end perspective across production execution. You translate business needs into sustainable processes, information flows, and architectural direction, while balancing short-term priorities with long-term development. You work closely with business stakeholders, Product Owners, Solution Architects, Project Managers, and Process Owners to create alignment and drive change from early analysis to implementation. Job DescriptionYou will own and further develop the business architecture within Shopfloor IT and Production Execution.
You will translate business needs into sustainable processes, information flows, architectural direction, and IT solutions.
You will identify and drive improvement opportunities across business processes, information flows, and IT support.
You will align business objectives, IT initiatives, and target architecture across the area.
You will connect current business needs, future target states, and strategic initiatives into a clear direction.
You will lead analyses, discovery work, gap analyses, and pre-studies to support decisions and change.
You will create visualizations and decision-support material that make complex topics easier to understand.
You will facilitate discussions and decision-making across business and IT stakeholders.
You will contribute to the portfolio of initiatives and to the continuous development of common ways of working in the team.
RequirementsYou have a relevant academic degree or equivalent professional experience.
You have strong business experience and a solid understanding of operational environments, business processes, information flows, and value flows.
You have experience working at the intersection of business and IT.
You have experience analysing business needs and translating them into structured processes, information flows, and strategic or architectural direction.
You have a good understanding of how business and IT interact and influence each other.
You have strong analytical skills and can structure complex and abstract information in a clear way.
You can visualize and communicate complex processes, dependencies, and information so that different stakeholders can make informed decisions.
You are comfortable facilitating workshops, discussions, and decision-making processes across functions and organizational levels.
You can create structure and direction in complex or ambiguous situations, while prioritizing changing needs without losing focus on quality and sustainable solutions.
You have a good understanding of IT terminology and IT environments.
You communicate fluently in English.
Nice to havePrevious experience within Business Architecture.
Experience with business process modelling and/or information modelling.
Experience from Shopfloor IT, Production Execution, manufacturing, or similar industrial environments.
Previous experience from a similar production environment and knowledge of established organization and ways of working in that context.
Broader knowledge and experience within IT.
