Overview

The Britannia Academy of eLearning Ltd is a Manchester\-based SME looking for a Business Analyst / Consultant to work directly with our Managing Director and leadership team. Rather than sitting in a narrow specialist function, you'll get involved across sales, operations, finance and customer service — reviewing how things work today, analysing the data behind our decisions, and turning what you find into practical recommendations we can actually act on. It's a hands\-on role with real, visible influence: in a small business, your analysis doesn't sit in a drawer, it shapes what happens next.

What You'll Do

  • Work closely with the Managing Director and leadership team to understand business objectives and day\-to\-day operational challenges.

  • Review current processes and workflows across the business to identify inefficiencies and improvement opportunities.

  • Gather and analyse business, sales and operational data using Excel and similar tools.

  • Develop practical, evidence\-based recommendations suited to a small business's resources.

  • Support the implementation of agreed changes and monitor results.

  • Prepare clear reports and presentations for senior leadership.

  • Take ownership of assigned analytical and improvement projects from start to finish.

  • Facilitate workshops and meetings with stakeholders to gather insights and support consensus on agreed actions.
What We're Looking For

Essential

  • A degree in business, management, economics, finance, business administration or a related field, or equivalent hands\-on experience.

  • Previous professional experience as a business analyst, business consultant, management consultant, or in a similar analytical/advisory role.

  • Experience analysing business processes, requirements, performance information or operational data.

  • Experience preparing analytical reports, recommendations or management information.

  • Practical experience using Microsoft Excel or similar analytical tools.
Desirable
  • Experience working within an SME or growing business environment.

  • Experience of business process improvement or transformation projects.

  • Experience working directly with senior management or business owners.

  • Experience of client\-facing consultancy or advisory work.

  • Experience with business intelligence, reporting or data\-visualisation tools.
Join us to leverage your analysis expertise in a role that challenges you to think critically, innovate continuously, and contribute meaningfully to organizational success!
