Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated Project Manager to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will be MRICS qualified, with a minimum of 4\-years experience post graduation from an RICS\-accredited course.
The role requires client\-facing experience delivering property and construction projects, with a strong track record in managing multidisciplinary teams, coordinating consultants and contractors, and leading schemes that prioritise energy performance, Net Zero pathways, and sustainable design outcomes for commercial and domestic properties.
Duties
- Lead multiple projects from inception through to completion, including feasibility, design, procurement, construction, and handover
- Define and manage project briefs, aligning client objectives, budget, programme, risk and quality requirements from the outset
- Lead the appointment and management of professional teams, including engineers, architects, cost consultants, and energy and sustainability specialists
- Prepare and manage project programmes, identifying critical path activities and proactively addressing delays and risks
- Set up and oversee project governance structures, including design team meetings, progress reviews, risk workshops, and client reporting rhythms
- Manage project budgets, including cost planning, cashflow forecasting, change management and value engineering
- Support planning applications by coordinating technical inputs, including Energy and Sustainability Statements, Overheating Assessments, and Whole Life Carbon Assessments
- Oversee procurement strategies, tender processes, contractor appointments, and contract negotiations
- Administer building contracts (e.g. JCT, NEC) including instructions, valuations, early warnings, compensation events, and practical completion processes
- Monitor construction quality, compliance and progress on site, coordinating input from technical specialists (including MEP, energy and sustainability teams)
- Coordinate statutory approvals and compliance, including building control, fire safety, building regulations and other regulatory gateways as required
- Lead risk and issues management, including risk registers, mitigation strategies, and contingency planning
- Chair client, design and site meetings, issuing clear actions, decisions and records
- Prepare concise, client\-friendly reports, board papers, and project updates that communicate risks, decisions, and recommended actions
- Ensure lessons learnt, post\-occupancy feedback, and performance data (including operational energy, comfort and user feedback) are captured and fed back into future projects
- Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (MRICS)
- Three subjects at A\-Level or equivalent level of study
- RICS\-accredited bachelors degree in relevant field
- At least 3 years experience in client\-side or consultancy project management within the built environment
- Demonstrable experience managing programmes, budgets and risks on complex projects
- Proficiency in project management and collaboration tools (e.g. MS Project or equivalent, Excel)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience preparing board\-level reports and presenting to senior stakeholders
Pay: £45,000\.00\-£50,000\.00 per year
