Building Surveyor / Housing Inspector
An opportunity has arisen in our Housing Inspection Services division for a highly motivated, self starting Housing Inspector to join our team in the Leinster Region.
Our housing inspection service team complete inspections of private rented dwellings in accordance with minimum housing standards for rented houses as per regulations 2019\. Stock Condition Surveys on social housing is also required.
1 \- 2 years’ experience and qualification in construction, building surveying or engineering with some knowledge of the building regulations is preferred, but this is not essential as full training will be provided.
We seek a building surveyor/engineer/Architect who can fit seamlessly into this working environment, and we can offer significant growth potential within the company to the right candidate.
The role involves carrying out visual inspections \& completing reports on a daily basis. Candidates will be based in Wicklow, but may be required to travel elsewhere depending on service requirements.
Job requirements
Candidates must hold a Construction, Building Surveyor, Structural/Civil Engineer, or Architect qualification with recognised University degree to NFQ Level 8
At least 1\-2 years post graduate experience in building surveying / inspection services, with experience of surveying private residential properties preferred.
Strong knowledge of Building pathology and construction methods are essential.
Strong knowledge of property, equipment, heating, electrical, ventilation, fire safety.
Must be very familiar with Excel and Microsoft word.
Must live within one hour drive of proposed working area.
Willing to relocate if living more than one hour from proposed working area.
The role requires the individual to have excellent oral and written communication skills, as well as strong inter\-personal skills.
Fluent English is a must.
Ability to travel. Some overnights may be required.
Excellent time management and communication skills.
Provide excellent and professional customer service and be a top class company representative.
Full clean driving licence is essential.
Complete inspections and reports in line with our inspection procedures.

The position is home based, with regular travel to inspection sites, with trips and contact from the Tralee HQ.

Pay: €30,000\.00\-€37,000\.00 per year
