Tradewind Recruitment are currently seeking a reliable and proactive Building Supervisor to join a welcoming primary school in Sheffield. This is a full-time position with an immediate start, offering a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in maintaining a safe, secure, and well-presented learning environment for pupils and staff.
The Role As the Building Supervisor, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management and upkeep of the school premises. Working from 10:00am to 6:00pm, you will ensure the site remains safe, clean, secure, and fully operational throughout the school day and after-school activities.
Key Responsibilities • Opening and securing areas of the school site as required
- Carrying out routine maintenance and minor repairs
- Monitoring health and safety across the premises
- Managing contractors and site visitors
- Conducting regular site inspections
- Ensuring the school grounds are maintained to a high standard
- Supporting with deliveries, room setups, and school events
- Responding promptly to maintenance issues and emergencies
- Good practical maintenance and DIY skills
- Knowledge of health and safety procedures
- Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one
- Ongoing support from a dedicated Tradewind consultant
