JCPS Mechanical Ltd require a Building Services Engineer to join our team, to lead and manage complex mechanical engineering projects from concept to completion. The successful candidate will be responsible for the guiding the team through the planning, design, coordination, and execution of mechanical systems in construction, renovation, or maintenance projects. This role requires strong technical expertise, leadership, and communication skills, as well as a commitment to quality, safety, and cost\-effectiveness. This role is a full time permanent position and will be based out of our Cork Offices

Job Details

· Lead mechanical engineering projects including HVAC, plumbing, and piping systems, ensuring they meet performance, budget, and schedule objectives.

· Develop and review technical specifications, drawings, and scopes of work.

· Collaborate with architects, contractors, consultants, and internal stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.

· Oversee project timelines, milestones, and deliverables to ensure successful execution and close\-out.

· Conduct field investigations and site inspections to ensure compliance with design, codes, and safety standards.

· Coordinate procurement of equipment and materials; review submittals and approve shop drawings.

· Manage and mentor junior engineers and project staff.

· Provide technical guidance and troubleshoot mechanical system issues during and after installation.

· Ensure all mechanical systems comply with applicable building codes, standards, and environmental regulations.

· Track project costs and assist with budget preparation, cost estimates, and change orders.

· Prepare and present project status reports to leadership and stakeholders.

Criteria

· Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Building Services Engineering.

· Minimum 5 years experience within the MEP Industry

· Strong leadership skiils

· Excellent organisation with a keen attention to detail.

· Strong communication and negotiation skills.

· Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast\-paced environment.
