We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Branch Manager to join our team at Ash road service center. As Branch Manager, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the daily operations of our garage, ensuring excellent service delivery, managing customer relations, and leading a team of technicians and support staff. You will ensure the garage runs smoothly, safely, and efficiently while driving both operational and financial success. This position requires a strong background in garage operations, leadership, and customer service.

Responsibilities:

  • Team Leadership:
Lead, mentor, and motivate a team of technicians, receptionists, and support staff to ensure efficient daily operations.

Foster a collaborative, high\-performance team environment through ongoing development, performance reviews, and training.

Address team challenges promptly, providing solutions that maintain operational efficiency and morale.

  • Customer Service Excellence:
Ensure that customers receive exceptional service by addressing inquiries, managing complaints, and setting high standards for customer interactions.

Implement best practices in customer communication to enhance overall satisfaction and resolve issues quickly.

Maintain customer relationships by following up on services provided and ensuring their experience meets or exceeds expectations.

  • Operations Management:
Oversee and coordinate daily garage operations, ensuring the timely and effective delivery of services.

Ensure that service schedules and technician tasks are managed efficiently to minimize downtime and ensure optimal service delivery.

Maintain high standards of safety and operational compliance, ensuring the garage is operating within industry regulations and standards.

  • Staff Scheduling and Training:
Manage work schedules to ensure that the garage is adequately staffed during peak and off\-peak hours.

Organize and conduct staff training, focusing on garage procedures, technical skills, customer service, and safety compliance.

Promote continuous improvement through regular team meetings and feedback loops.

  • Service Quality Control:
Maintain the highest standards of workmanship across all services, including vehicle repairs, MOT testing, and diagnostics.

Regularly monitor and inspect service quality to ensure services meet both company standards and customer expectations.

Identify areas for improvement in service delivery and implement corrective actions where needed.

  • Inventory and Parts Management:
Oversee the management of garage inventory, including ordering and tracking parts and supplies to ensure the availability of required tools and materials.

Work closely with suppliers and vendors to negotiate the best pricing and ensure timely delivery of parts.

Implement inventory control measures to prevent overstocking or stockouts, ensuring the garage runs efficiently.

  • Financial Management:
Manage budgets, control costs, and track financial performance across all areas of garage operations.

Work with senior management to ensure profitability, with a focus on cost\-effectiveness and revenue growth.

Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as revenue, expenses, and profit margins to ensure financial targets are met.

  • Target Achievement:
Set, track, and achieve short\-term and long\-term performance goals, including revenue growth, service quality, and customer satisfaction.

Collaborate with senior management to optimize financial and operational targets.

Continuously analyze performance data to refine business strategies and meet growth objectives.

  • Health and Safety Compliance:
Ensure the garage complies with all health and safety regulations, including safe working practices and risk management.

Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to ensure the garage is a safe environment for both employees and customers.

Stay up to date with industry\-specific health and safety regulations and ensure the garage adheres to these standards.

  • Garage Archive Management:
Oversee the organization and maintenance of the garage's operational and service archives.

Ensure accurate and secure record\-keeping for all services, customer details, and compliance documents.

Implement systems for easy access to historical data and ensure the archives meet regulatory requirements.

  • Customer Relationship Management:
Build and maintain strong customer relationships to ensure repeat business, customer loyalty, and referrals.

Use customer feedback to improve services and tailor offerings to better meet customer needs.

Implement customer retention strategies, including loyalty programs, regular follow\-ups, and personalized service offerings.

  • Business Development:
Identify opportunities to expand the business, including new services, partnerships, and collaborations.

Work with marketing teams to implement promotional strategies that drive business growth.

Actively seek new business opportunities to increase the garage's market share and reputation in the local area.

  • Reporting:
Regularly report to senior management on garage performance, including financial results, customer feedback, staff performance, and service quality.

Provide regular updates on operational goals, challenges, and achievements.

Use data to develop actionable insights and guide future business strategies.

Requirements:

Extensive Automotive Knowledge: Strong understanding of vehicle repairs, maintenance, MOT testing, and general garage operations. Previous experience working within the automotive industry is essential.

Previous Management Experience: Proven experience in a managerial role, ideally wit/him a garage or automotive environment. Experience managing a team and overseeing day\-to\-day operations.

Leadership Skills: Ability to lead, motivate, and develop a team, creating a positive work environment that fosters collaboration, efficiency, and high performance.

Customer Service Skills: Strong customer\-facing skills, with a proven ability to resolve issues, exceed customer expectations, and maintain customer loyalty.

Organizational and Time Management Skills: Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and ensure deadlines are met.

Financial Acumen: Experience with budget management, financial tracking, and performance analysis to drive business profitability.

Health and Safety Knowledge: Understanding of industry health and safety regulations, with the ability to implement and enforce safety standards.

Excellent Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills to engage with customers, staff, and senior management effectively.

Full UK Driving License: A valid UK driving license is required to facilitate operational management and customer interactions.
