Job Description:
As a Retail Assistant, you will be responsible for creating a welcoming and engaging customer experience, helping visitors discover and learn about the unique products and makers featured in House of Lir. The role involves assisting customers, processing sales, and supporting the day\-to\-day operation and presentation of the shop.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver a warm, welcoming, and professional experience for all customers visiting the shop.
- Engage with customers to provide information on our collections, makers, and featured products.
- Develop a strong understanding of our products, artisans, and craftspeople to effectively share their stories and heritage with customers.
- Assist customers in identifying products that best meet their needs and preferences.
- Maintain high standards of presentation and shop appearance.
- Process sales transactions accurately and efficiently while providing excellent customer service.
- Carry out daily operational duties, including opening and closing procedures.
- Support stock management, replenishment, and general shop administration as required.
- Contribute to the smooth and efficient day\-to\-day running of the shop.
- Undertake additional duties as reasonably required to support the business and customer experience.
- Previous experience in a similar role in a luxury retail environment is desirable but is not essential as training is provided.
- Confident and professional in engaging with customers and building rapport
- Friendly, approachable, and committed to delivering an exceptional customer experience
- Eager to learn and develop within a unique retail environment
- An appreciation for craftsmanship, artisanal products, and creative design
- Strong listening skills with the ability to understand and respond to customer needs
- Able to share the stories behind products and create a memorable shopping experience
- Reliable, self\-motivated, and comfortable working independently
- Flexible and willing to support the day\-to\-day operations of the store as required
- Minimum 12 months' valid work permit required
