Bookkeeper - UK
<p><strong>Position Summary</strong><br>Focus Financial partner firm, Gelfand, Rennert & Feldman, is seeking a full charge Bookkeeper with ideally entertainment/touring experience to join our team of dedicated professionals. T<span lang="en-us">he Bookkeeper is responsible for computing, classifying, and recording financial transactions to ensure the financial records of assigned client are accurate. </span>T<span lang="en-us">his position will be based from our London office on a full-time basis, with potential for hybrid working following a 4-month probation.</span> The hybrid work arrangement may be adjusted or altered to fill the needs of the role, including potentially working in-office for 3+ days per week. </p>
<p><strong>Primary Responsibilities</strong></p>
<ul>
<li><span lang="en-us">Raising sales invoices</span></li>
<li> M<span lang="en-us">aintaining QuickBooks online ledgers and electronic filing system in Teams</span></li>
<li>Pr<span lang="en-us">ocess accounts payable and accounts receivable.</span></li>
<li><span lang="en-us">Perform credit card and bank reconciliations</span></li>
<li><span lang="en-us">Posting petty cash and tour manager floats</span></li>
<li><span lang="en-us">Creating payment packs online ready for manager approvals</span></li>
<li><span lang="en-us">Posting directors expense claims</span></li>
<li><span lang="en-us">Posting and reconciling intercompany accounts on QuickBooks online in local currencies</span></li>
<li><span lang="en-us">Revaluating foreign currency balances at month end</span><span lang="en-us"><br></span></li>
<li><span lang="en-us">Generally assisting account managers as directed including:</span>
<ul>
<li><span lang="en-us">In preparing of VAT return packs</span></li>
<li><span lang="en-us">Assisting with preparation of tour accounts</span></li>
<li><span lang="en-us">Assisting with the preparation of management accounts</span></li>
<li><span lang="en-us">Assisting with the preparation of annual accounts</span></li>
<li><span lang="en-us">Assisting with gathering information with personal and corporate tax returns</span></li>
</ul>
</li>
<li><span lang="en-us">Any other duties as required by your line manager or senior team which are proportionate to your level and remit.</span></li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Qualifications:</strong></p>
<ul>
<li><span lang="en-us">Experience within a bookkeeping position ideally within a business management firm</span></li>
<li><span lang="en-us">General accounting experience</span></li>
<li>Excellent communication skills (in person, on the phone, and via email)</li>
<li>Sense of urgency</li>
<li>Keen eye for details</li>
<li>Ability to quickly shift gears without losing focus</li>
<li>Solid interpersonal skills and other key soft skills (i.e., communication, time management, emotional intelligence, adaptability, active listening, critical-thinking, etc.)</li>
<li>Experience with QuickBooks is highly preferred</li>
</ul>
<p><br>Actual base pay could vary based on factors including but not limited to experience, subject matter expertise, geographic location where work will be performed, and the applicant's skill set. The base pay is just one component of the total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include an annual bonus and a comprehensive benefits package.
