Temporary Bookkeeper – Kirkby Lonsdale
£15.59+ per hour | Immediate Start | 6–8 Weeks

Reed Accountancy & Finance are delighted to be recruiting for a temporary Bookkeeper to join a well-established and reputable business based in Kirkby Lonsdale. This is a hands-on opportunity supporting the team with a backlog of work, making it ideal for someone who can hit the ground running and add value from day one.

Key Details:

• 6–8 week temporary assignment


• From £15.59 per hour


• Immediate start available


• Full-time hours (part-time may be considered)


• Office-based (own transport required due to location)

The Role:

You will be responsible for managing business accounts and ensuring financial records are accurate and up to date, whilst working closely with internal teams, clients, and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:
Bookkeeping & Accounts

• Maintain accurate financial records using Sage Line 50 (or similar) and Excel


• Manage sales, purchase, and nominal ledgers


• Process invoices, payments, and receipts


• Complete bank reconciliations, VAT returns, and petty cash

Reporting & Compliance

• Produce monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports


• Support payroll processing using Sage Payroll


• Prepare VAT and P11D returns


• Assist with year-end processes and ensure deadlines are met


• Monitor cash flow and liaise with relevant stakeholders

Client Interaction

• Work closely with clients, staff, suppliers, and accountants


• Deliver a professional, efficient, and confidential service

This role would suit an experienced Bookkeeper who is immediately available or available at short notice and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
