Bodyshop Manager/controller
Veetec Motor Group, one of the leading accident repair specialists across London and the South East, are seeking an experienced, self\-motivated General Manager to run our state of the art body shop in Whitstable, Kent.
Role Overview:
Your role here will ensure the smooth operational running of the Bodyshop. You will oversee the Bodyshop operations, as well as managing the staff on site. You will also be responsible for ensuring that monthly targets and SLA's are met and maximising profitability for the site.
Your input as a General Manager will contribute to the overall success of the business as well as the site, by being a member of our Management Team.
You will be responsible for providing leadership, direction, performance and management to the site team, focusing on best practice, performance excellence and ensuring customer service is delivered professionally at all times.
Key Responsibilities:
- Establish and maintain control of consistent workflow within the Bodyshop through effective planning.
- Manage the workshop, estimating, customer service, parts departments
- Achieve successful financial performance, quality, and customer care objectives
- Discuss regularly with each team member the impact of their performance on overall site performance and highlight those areas where staff performance can be improved.
- Ensure delivery of the Company Budget, Business Plan and Financial Performance objectives
- Ensure all customer SLA’s and KPI’s are met or exceeded
- Undertake regular reviews of departmental performance and manage this accordingly in line with the site’s performance objective
- To monitor Customer Satisfaction delivery through the Company principles of excellent customer service
- To contribute to the development of appropriate business strategies
- Technical knowledge and experience of the Accident Repair and Bodyshop industry.
- Previous experience within a management position with the ability to lead and coach the team.
- Ability to organise clerical work, administration, control systems and financial resources.
- Relevant and up\-to\-date knowledge of vehicle design and manufacture, consumer and vehicle legislation, industry and trade practices.
- Knowledge and understanding of BSi Standards and accreditation
- Strong numeracy and literacy skills.
- Excellent communication skills.
