Boarding kennel receptionist/Animal care assistant

We are looking for a kennel receptionist/shop assistant/animal care assistant at our busy family run boarding kennels and cattery.

Your main role will be greeting customers, answering phone calls, checking in and checking out dogs , cats, rabbits and other small animals and also serving customers in our pet store.

You must be confident around all animals and also be capable of handling dogs of all shapes and sizes. This is essential.

You must also be confident in dealing with the general public and previous experience in such a role is advantageous.

Alongside this position will also be the opportunity to assist in general kennel and cattery tasks such as walking dogs, cleaning cats etc when the reception is quiet.

You must must have excellent communication and customer service skills, basic computer skills and most importantly a love of all animals.

Knowledge of the pet food trade would be advantageous but not essential as we can provide training in this area.

We are looking for two new team members to to work between 12\-16 hrs a week on 4 hour shifts covering 3\-4 days a week. This will include working alternate Saturdays or Sundays as well.

This is initially advertised as a 6 month position but would have the potential to be extended.

Job Types: Part\-time, Temp to perm

Pay: £12\.71 per hour
