Job Summary

NanoFCM produces analytical devices for research \& development based on nano\-flow cytometry (nFCM). Our unique platform for characterization of nanoparticles (LNPs, EVs, viruses, non\-biological particles) has already been implemented globally.

To sustain growth and to support our existing customer base in the United Kingdom and Europe, the company is seeking a Technical Support Engineer to be based at Nottingham, England. The position is field\-based with travel across the United Kingdom and Europe with the main focus area around UK as required.

The Technical Support Engineer will be responsible for providing onsite and remote support to NanoFCM customers including instrument installation, scheduling and conducting preventative maintenance, and email/phone support, following a comprehensive training period with senior technical staff.

As a Technical Support Engineer you will:

  • Install, maintain and service instrumentation at customer sites. Complete service documentation as required.

  • Provide onsite and/or remote technical consultations to support NanoFCM customers on the use, capabilities and troubleshooting of NanoFCM instruments, software, and reagents.

  • Record customer interactions, conduct customer follow\-ups and share results of the visits and support sessions to ensure collaborative efforts between all customer facing groups.

  • Participate in product incident report / customer complaint reporting systems.

  • Maintain asset/spare parts inventory and coordinate order shipments.

  • Coordinate with the Sales Team to track and administer Service Contracts.
Required Education, Skills, and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree majoring in biological/life sciences, biotechnology, engineering, or related discipline (minimum).

  • \+1 year field experience of customer service/support in a technical environment – medical and laboratory device or analytical equipment.

  • Experience with laboratory analytical techniques, such as flow cytometry, microfluidic systems, fluorescence microscopy, HPLC.

  • Able to work independently with the ability to prioritise multiple tasks effectively.
