Mallatite Limited is a specialist manufacturer of lighting \& traffic support structures, passive products, traffic signs \& equipment and LED message signs, and sits within the roads division of Hill \& Smith Holdings Plc.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
A commercially savvy, Bids \& Tenders expert who will lead efforts to establish and retain business growth opportunities. Primarily obtaining new clients and fostering business relationships via a strong pipeline of framework and negotiated work to increase revenue from sales.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Identify, track, and manage tender submissions from initial review through to final submission to ensure bids are competitive and in line with expectations
- Develop bid programmes and manage strict submission deadlines; reporting on all bid outcomes to strengthen Win/No\-Win monitoring, using insights to strengthen future bid positioning and win probability
- Collate information from operational, commercial, and delivery teams for fully informed bids/tenders to ensure a first\-time win
- Maintain and improve bid content libraries, case studies, and templates with the latest market intelligence and regulations relevant to business products
- Support the design, development \& implementation of marketing \& PR campaigns to promote the brand to influence behaviours and secure future opportunities
- Respond to general sales enquiries and provide quotations to the required specifications, following up on quotations to gain the win
- Engage with Local Authorities, Highways Agencies, External Contractors and the like to promote the business to win new projects and ensure the renewal of existing contracts
- Any other reasonable duties within your skills remit to support the operational duties of the department or company
- 3 years \+ Sales experience, preferably within a Street Furnishing Industry
- Proven experience in Bids \& Tendering processes with Traffic \& Technology Products, or similar
- Exceptional project management skills
- Strong Sage and Excel skills
- Relationship management, both internally and externally, with the ability to negotiate
- Exceptional attention to detail
- Able to analyse and interpret data to provide meaningful insights to inform decision\-making
- Knowledge of Sales Processes and Best Practices
- Annual Salary; Up to £35,000 (DOE)
- 20 days annual holiday, increasing to 23 days after 5 years continuous service (plus. 8 statutory bank holidays)
