The Role

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Bid Manager to lead our tendering and bid submission process. This is a critical role focused on increasing our win rate, improving bid quality, and enhancing our social value offering to align with public and private sector expectations.

You will take ownership of the full bid lifecycle—from opportunity identification through to submission—ensuring high\-quality, compliant, and compelling proposals.

Key Responsibilities

Bid \& Tender Management

  • Manage the end\-to\-end bid process, including PQQs, SQs, ITTs, and framework submissions

  • Coordinate internal teams (estimating, commercial, operations, HSEQ) to develop winning bids

  • Review tender documents and ensure full compliance with client requirements

  • Develop clear, persuasive, and high\-quality written responses
Work Winning \& Strategy
  • Identify and track new opportunities via portals, frameworks, and client relationships

  • Support the development of bid strategies to improve success rates

  • Analyse feedback from previous submissions to continuously improve performance
Social Value \& ESG
  • Identify, develop, and deliver social value initiatives aligned with client requirements and Welsh policy

  • Own both bid\-stage commitments and post\-award delivery, ensuring they are realistic, measurable, and achieved

  • Work with project teams and supply chain to implement and evidence outcomes on live projects

  • Monitor, measure, and report key social value metrics (e.g. jobs, apprenticeships, local spend, community engagement)

  • Build local partnerships to support delivery and strengthen community impact

  • Capture outcomes to support future bids, case studies, and marketing

  • Drive continuous improvement and embed a culture of genuine social value delivery
Marketing, Visibility \& Public Engagement
  • Support the promotion of the business to improve brand visibility, reputation, and pipeline opportunities

  • Work closely with senior leadership to develop and deliver a practical marketing plan aligned to business growth goals

  • Create and coordinate content for website updates, case studies, award submissions, and social media (e.g. LinkedIn)

  • Capture and promote project successes, community engagement activities, and social value outcomes

  • Support the preparation of client presentations, capability statements, and marketing collateral

  • Help identify opportunities for PR, events, networking, and industry engagement across South Wales and the wider UK

  • Strengthen the company’s public profile with clients, local authorities, and community stakeholders
Content \& Quality Management
  • Maintain and improve the company’s bid library, templates, and standard responses

  • Ensure consistency in branding, tone, and messaging across all submissions

  • Drive continuous improvement in bid processes and systems
Stakeholder Engagement
  • Liaise with clients, consultants, and partners during the bid process

  • Build strong internal relationships to ensure collaborative bid delivery
Pay: £40,000\.00\-£60,000\.00 per year
