BI Analyst

Urban Gym Group is an industry pioneer within the European wellness and fitness community, with over 60 clubs and studios in major cities across the Netherlands and the United Kingdom. You might know us from brands such as Trainmore, ClubSportive, THE CLB, TRIB3, PILAT3S and Gymbox. Our ambitious domestic and international growth plans require an expansion of our Business Intelligence team.

To support this growth, we are currently looking to hire two BI Analysts with different levels of experience:

• BI Analyst with 2 – 4 years of experience


• BI Analyst with 5\+ years of experience.

Depending on your experience, your role will vary in scope, with additional responsibilities around coaching and strategic impact for more experienced candidates.

We are looking for driven BI Analysts to join our team. In this role, you will drive data\-driven decision\-making across the organisation and, depending on experience, contribute to coaching and developing other analysts, as well as shaping our data strategy and ensuring high\-quality insights that directly impact business performance.

Working closely with Finance, Marketing, Operations, and senior leadership, you will extract actionable insights from our data, helping optimise operations, enhance member experiences, and support our ambitious growth plans.

Key responsibilities:

Data \& Analytics

• Conduct market research and analyses to identify new club locations


• Develop business cases for expansion, including new builds, mergers, and acquisitions


• Design, build, and maintain robust ETL processes to structure data from various sources


• Create data models, views, tables, and reports supporting operational and strategic goals


• Develop dashboards and visualisations to enable informed, data\-driven decisions


• Analyse growth, customer behaviour, and performance to identify opportunities and risks


• Query databases to uncover insights related to revenue, member retention, and engagement


• Translate data into actionable recommendations to support commercial and strategic decisions

Leadership \& Team Management (depending on experience)

• Coach and develop Data Analysts


• Establish best practices in analytics, reporting, and data governance


• Act as a key stakeholder for senior leadership, translating business needs into analytical solutions


• Drive continuous improvement within the BI team, including tools, processes, and capabilities

You:

We encourage candidates with different levels of experience to apply. You bring:

• 2–4 years or 5\+ years of experience in a data\-focused role (e.g., Data Analyst, BI Analyst, or Analytics Consultant)


• Proven experience in data modelling, pipeline creation, and analytics


• Advanced proficiency in SQL, with solid experience in Azure SQL environments


• Hands\-on experience building ETL pipelines, ideally using Python or Azure Synapse Analytics


• Experience with Power BI, with a track record of building impactful dashboards


• Strong business acumen, ideally within fitness, wellness, retail, or a consumer\-focused industry


• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills


• Strong problem\-solving mindset and attention to detail


• Experience in fast\-paced, scaling organisations is a plus


• Experience coaching or mentoring others is a plus


• Located in the Netherlands

We meet

After a brief meeting online we plan a face to face meeting at one of our clubs or at HQ. When applying for an audition as trainer or performer, you will be invited for the next planned audition.
