Barista (full-time/part-time)

Fortuna Café is a new specialty coffee destination opening in Brussels.

Our ambition is simple: serve exceptional coffee, offer genuine hospitality, and create a welcoming neighbourhood space where quality, craftsmanship and community come together.

We work with locally roasted coffee, carefully selected products, and a strong focus on customer experience. Every detail matters to us, from the quality of the espresso to the atmosphere in the café and the relationships we build with our customers.

As a growing independent business, we are looking for motivated and passionate people who want to be part of the journey from the very beginning.

Your Role

As a Barista at Fortuna Café, you will play a central role in the daily life of the café.

You will be responsible for preparing and serving specialty coffee beverages, welcoming customers, maintaining a clean and organised workspace, and contributing to the warm atmosphere that defines the Fortuna experience.

Beyond making great coffee, we are looking for people who genuinely enjoy interacting with customers and helping create a place where people want to return every day.

Key Responsibilities

\* Prepare espresso\-based drinks and other coffee beverages to a consistently high standard

\* Provide friendly, professional and attentive customer service

\* Take orders and handle payments

\* Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards throughout the café

\* Assist with opening and closing procedures

\* Help manage stock and daily operational tasks

\* Contribute ideas to improve customer experience and café operations

\* Represent the Fortuna brand and values in every customer interaction

*Option 1: Entry\-Level Candidates*

You may be a great fit if:

\* You are passionate about coffee and hospitality

\* You enjoy working with people

\* You are eager to learn and develop new skills

\* You are reliable, organised and proactive

\* You have a positive attitude and strong work ethic

No previous barista experience is required. We are happy to train motivated individuals who share our values and enthusiasm.

*Option 2: Experienced Baristas*

You may be a great fit if:

\* You have previous experience working in a café, coffee shop or hospitality environment

\* You understand espresso preparation and milk texturing

\* You are comfortable working in a fast\-paced environment
