Bar / Restaurant Duty Manager
We are looking to add an experienced and passionate Duty Manager to our team at WEST on the Green.
We operate a high\-volume German style beerhall, beer garden, restaurant and events spaces, located in the iconic Templeton Building on Glasgow Green.
We serve a range of artisan lagers and ales, all brewed on site. Our food is classic comfort dishes from Germany and Scotland, in keeping with our ethos 'Glaswegian Heart. German Head'. Our events business varies from weddings to corporate dinners to global brand launches.
The ideal candidate will be used to working in a large venue where every day is different. The role is perfect for an individual looking for a challenging yet rewarding work environment and who is looking to develop their personal \& professional skills and further progress their career within the hospitality sector. Experience in running events would be beneficial.
Responsibilities include:
- Ensuring the safe opening and closing of the venue in line with company policies / standards
- Managing the staff working on your shift – including motivation, training \& development
- Supporting the General Manager with day\-to\-day tasks
- Coaching \& training the team
- Monitor, anticipate and react to customer needs consistently to ensure maximum customer satisfaction
- Assist in ensuring that the department complies with all statutory and legal requirements, including fire, Health and Safety, licensing and employment
- 2\+ years experience at management level.
- Team Player – be proactive, share best practice and support colleagues under pressure.

Pay: From £13\.50 per hour
