Bar Manager
We are looking for an experienced, driven, and charismatic Bar Manager to take full ownership of our bar operation. This is an exciting opportunity for a strong leader who is passionate about hospitality, thrives in a fast\-paced environment, and is looking for a role with genuine autonomy and development opportunities.
Reporting directly to the General Manager, you will be responsible for the overall performance of the bar, leading your team from recruitment through to development, while maintaining exceptional standards, driving revenue, and ensuring financial accountability.
Key Responsibilities
- Take full ownership of the bar operation, ensuring consistently high standards of service, presentation, and guest experience.
- Recruit, onboard, train, develop, and retain a high\-performing bar team.
- Conduct regular performance reviews, appraisals, coaching sessions, and disciplinary procedures where required.
- Create and manage rotas in line with business needs and labour budgets.
- Manage stock control, ordering, deliveries, and supplier relationships.
- Maintain strong financial control, working within budgets and achieving agreed margins.
- Drive sales through team engagement, upselling, menu development, and guest interaction.
- Lead by example during service and confidently duty manage a busy seven\-day\-a\-week operation.
- Ensure compliance with all licensing, health \& safety, and food safety regulations.
- Work closely with the management team to deliver business objectives and operational excellence.
- Minimum 2 years' experience as a Bar Manager in a busy, high\-volume venue.
- Strong cocktail knowledge and experience running a quality beverage programme.
- Proven leadership skills with experience managing teams from recruitment through to development and performance management.
- Commercially aware with experience managing budgets, stock, labour costs, and margins.
- Highly organised, proactive, and accountable.
- Confident, energetic, and personable with a genuine passion for hospitality.
- A natural leader who can inspire, motivate, and develop a team.
- Comfortable working under pressure and making decisions in a fast\-paced environment.
- Experience duty managing a busy operation is essential.
