Overview
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Bar Manager to oversee the daily operations of our busy bar environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive hospitality experience, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service. This role involves managing staff, ensuring food safety standards, and maintaining a welcoming atmosphere for guests. Previous experience in restaurant, hotel, or culinary settings is highly desirable. The successful applicant will be responsible for supervising team members, overseeing food and beverage preparation, and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise bar staff, including bartenders, servers.

  • Manage daily operations of the bar, including stock control, ordering supplies, and maintaining cleanliness.

  • Develop staff schedules, organise training sessions, and foster a positive team environment

  • Monitor customer service levels to guarantee guest satisfaction and handle any complaints professionally.

  • Implement promotional activities to enhance the bar’s reputation and attract new customers

  • Maintain accurate records of sales, inventory, and staff performance
Qualifications
  • Proven supervising experience within a hospitality setting, ideally in bars or restaurants

  • Strong team management skills with the ability to motivate staff effectively

  • Extensive knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and food safety protocols

  • Experience in serving customers in a fast\-paced environment with excellent hospitality skills

  • Familiarity with food production processes and kitchen operations

  • Previous hotel or culinary experience is advantageous

  • Leadership qualities with excellent organisational skills

  • Knowledge of health \& safety standards relevant to food service environments

  • Barista experience is considered a plus but not essential
