We are looking for a motivated and experienced Bar / Food Manager to oversee the daily operations of our bar and food service. This role is ideal for someone who is hands\-on, organised, customer\-focused, and passionate about delivering a high\-quality hospitality experience.

You will be responsible for managing staff, maintaining service standards, controlling stock and costs, and ensuring that customers enjoy a smooth, professional, and memorable experience.

You will play a key role in improving operations, increasing sales, and creating a strong team culture.

Responsibilities:

Bar \& Food Operations

Manage the day\-to\-day running of the bar and food service areas, ensuring smooth operations during opening hours. Maintain high standards of service, cleanliness, presentation, and customer experience.

Team Management

Lead, train, and support bar and food service staff. Create staff schedules, assign duties, monitor performance, and ensure the team works efficiently and professionally.

Customer Experience

Ensure customers receive excellent service at all times. Handle customer feedback, complaints, and special requests in a calm and professional manner.

Stock \& Inventory Control

Manage stock levels for drinks, food, supplies, and equipment. Monitor wastage, place orders, check deliveries, and ensure stock is stored correctly.

Sales \& Revenue Growth

Identify ways to increase bar and food sales through promotions, upselling, menu improvements, events, and better customer engagement.

Food \& Beverage Quality

Ensure all drinks and food items are prepared and served to the required standard. Work with kitchen and bar teams to maintain consistency, quality, and presentation.

Health, Safety \& Compliance

Ensure all food safety, hygiene, licensing, and health and safety standards are followed. Maintain proper records and ensure staff understand their responsibilities.

Cost Control

Monitor labour costs, stock usage, wastage, and supplier pricing. Help improve profitability while maintaining quality and service standards.

Supplier \& Vendor Management

Communicate with suppliers, negotiate where possible, and ensure reliable delivery of products and services.

Reporting \& Performance

Track sales, stock usage, staff performance, and customer feedback. Provide regular updates and recommendations to improve operations.

QualificationsExperience

Previous experience in bar, restaurant, hotel, or hospitality management. Experience managing both bar and food service operations is a strong advantage.

Leadership Skills

Able to lead, motivate, and organise a team in a busy hospitality environment.

Customer Service

Strong focus on customer satisfaction, with the ability to create a welcoming and professional atmosphere.

Operational Skills

Good understanding of stock control, staff scheduling, hygiene standards, service flow, and daily hospitality operations.

Communication Skills

Able to communicate clearly with staff, customers, suppliers, and management.

Problem\-Solving

Able to stay calm under pressure, make quick decisions, and resolve issues efficiently.

Flexibility

Available to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and busy service periods when required.

Growth Mindset

Positive, proactive, and always looking for ways to improve service, sales, and team performance.
